Prestige Builders: 31 Years of Excellence
Prestige was established in 1993 by Andy Hempel, Master Builder. 31 years later, he still plays a part in the business, participating in our weekly team syncs with his company branded polo and sparkling smile. In today’s society, one might find it impossible and exhausting, weeding through all of the “best” industry experts, often times claiming a disproportionate level of expertise, or an unrealistic return. Andy has never wanted any part of a flashy, empty promise. His tool-belt consists of experienced knowledge, integrity, quality, accountability, and communication. He believes in these timeless, foundational pillars and the application of them in his business.
A glimpsed outline of what a custom home build, renovation, or addition by Prestige looks like, most often starts with a set of architecturally engineered plans. In order to obtain city permitting, these plans are required. If you happen to need an architectural reference, we can confidently offer a select variety of field professionals that we actively partner with.
Next our team reviews the plans and schedules an initial conversation, either via web-conference, phone, or in person at our Lakeway office to discuss the project at a high level.
From here, we begin to bid out the job, gathering information from
licensed tradesman and preferred material suppliers. We typically
collect quotes from 2-3 companies for the larger items such as
foundation, roof, framing, HVAC and drywall.
All of this collected data is formulated into a consolidated project
estimate, including allowances as well as detailed specifications. At
this stage we partner with you, tailoring any necessary changes on a more detailed level.
If all parties are in agreement, we send over preliminary items for
review, which include the Texas Association of Builders “TAB” 06.1
Remodeling Contract – Cost Plus, the project’s Itemized Cost Proposal, Custom Build Specifications, Change Order, Draw Request, Final Walk-Through and Warranty.
The final step in this phase of the process, is executing the contracts.
